Mercat de Sant Antoni


Construït l’any 1882 per
Antoni Rovira i Trias, és un dels edificis més emblemàtics de l’arquitectura
del ferro a Barcelona. El projecte de reforma planteja la restauració
íntegra de l’edifici històric i la construcció de plantes subterrànies per
allotjar nova superfície comercial, aparcament i serveis. Els quatre patis
exteriors es converteixen en places públiques i s’incorporen les restes
arqueològiques de l’antic Baluard de Sant Antoni, que forma part de les muralles
del segle XVII.
	

Sant Antoni Market


Built in 1882 by Antoni Rovira i Trias, it is one of the most
iconic iron buildings in Barcelona. The refurbishment project includes the full restoration of the historic building and
the construction of new underground floors to accommodate new commercial areas,
parking lots and services. The four outdoor enclosures become public squares and the
archaeological remains of the ancient Bastion of Sant Antoni, part of the walls
of the seventeenth century, are incorporated.
	

Mercado de Sant Antoni


Construido en 1882 por Antoni Rovira i Trias, es uno de los edificios más
emblemáticos de la arquitectura del hierro en Barcelona. El proyecto de
reforma plantea la restauración íntegra del
edificio histórico y la construcción de plantas subterráneas para alojar nueva
superficie comercial, aparcamiento y servicios. Los cuatro patios exteriores se
convierten en plazas públicas y se incorporan los restos arqueológicos del
antiguo Baluarte de Sant Antoni, que forma parte de las murallas del siglo
XVII.

	Mercat provisional d’Horta


L’emplaçament
del nou mercat provisional d’Horta és una oportunitat per potenciar
l’encreuament entre dues artèries de desenvolupament urbà i ecosistèmic de tres
barris diferents: Horta, el Carmel i La Clota.
El projecte proposa una estratègia d’optimització de la inversió i els recursos
mitjançant dos temps. Es planteja aprofitar la construcció de la nova coberta
del mercat provisional com a infraestructura productiva amb voluntat
d’esdevenir permanent i convertir-se en un element urbà de suport d’activitats
veïnals, refugi climàtic i proveïdor d’energia renovable pel barri. Una
estructura que inicialment és generadora d’espai i suport de les instal·lacions
necessàries del mercat provisional, però que també està pensada per no ser
desmuntada i així romandre al lloc.


Horta temporary market &#38;nbsp;


The
location of the new Horta temporary market is an opportunity to improve the
crossing between two main urban and ecosystem arteries from three different
neighborhoods: Horta, Carmel and Clota.
The project proposes a strategy of investment and resources optimization across
two different times. The willing is taking advantage of the new deck
construction to understand it as a productive infrastructure, with the aim of
resulting permanent and becoming an urban element of support for different
neighbor activities, as a climatic refuge and renewable energy supplier for the
district. A structure which initially is generator of the space and serves as a
support for the necessary facilities for the temporary market, but also able
for sheltering, thought not to disassemble and remain therefore in the place.


Mercado provisional de Horta


El
emplazamiento del nuevo mercado provisional de Horta es una oportunidad para
potenciar el encuentro entre dos arterias de desarollo urbano y ecosistémico de
tres barrios diferentes: Horta, el Carmel y la Clota.
El proyecto propone una estrategia de optimización de la inversión y los
recursos empleados mediante dos tiempos. Se plantea aprovechar la construcción
de la nueva cubierta del mercado provisional como una infraestructura
productiva con voluntad de resultar permanente y convertirse en un elemento
urbano de soporte para actividades vecinales, refugio climático y proveedor de
energía renovable para el barrio. Una estructura que inicialmente es generadora
del espacio y sirve como soporte de las instalaciones necesarias del mercado
provisional, pero también &#38;nbsp;esta pensada
para no ser desmontada y así permanecer en el lugar.

	Habitatges al Passeig de la Muntanya, Granollers


Els habitatges formen part del conjunt que definirà la trobada del Passeig de la Muntanya amb la rotonda del pont de l’Hospital. Un encreuament urbà important entre les vies del tren i la carretera de Granollers a Cardedeu, que servirà com a nova porta de la ciutat, integrat en un recent parc
que ja ha començat a prendre forma.S’ha buscat una planta racional que doni bona qualitat espacial i ambiental a tots els habitatges, amb una articulació en diagonal dels principals espais de cada unitat&#38;nbsp;augmentant la sensació d’amplitud i afegint riquesa les relacions interiors. La galeria contínua fa més amable la relació amb l’exterior i actua com a coixí climàtic, creant espais intermedis aprofitables.

	Housing at Passeig de la Muntanya, Granollers &#38;nbsp;

This housing promotion is part of the ensemble which will form the merge between Passeig de la Muntanya and the Hospital bridge roundabout. An important urban intersection between the train rail and the road from Granollers to Cardedeu, which will serve as a new door to the city, integrated in a recent park which is starting to take shape.

A rational plan that offers good spatial and environmental quality in all housing units. To increase the width sensation and the interior relationships, the unit has been designed through a
 diagonal articulation of the main spaces. The continuous gallery evokes the building’s relationship with the exterior and serves as a climate foyer, creating intermediate and useful spaces.
	

Viviendas en Passeig de la Muntanya, Granollers


Las viviendas forman parte del conjunto que definirá el encuentro entre el Passeig de la Muntanya y la rotonda del puente del Hospital. Un importante cruce urbano entre las vías del tren y la carretera de Granollers a Cardedeu, que servirá como nueva puerta a la ciudad, integrada en un reciente parque que ya ha comenzado a tomar forma.
Se ha buscado una planta racional que ofrezca buena calidad espacial y ambiental en todas las viviendas, con una articulación en diagonal de los principales espacios de cada unidad aumentando la sensación de amplitud e incorporando riqueza en las relaciones interiores. La galería continua hace más amable la relación con el exterior y actúa como cojín climático, creando espacios intermedios aprovechables.

Escola a La Granada
L’escola es disposa donant façana al nou carrer Jacint
Verdaguer i al carrer Verge de Montserrat, establint un punt clar d’accés a la
cantonada i recolzant-se a la part del solar més propera al centre de La
Granada. 


L’edifici es mostra com un volum clar i compacte, amb la
part principal del programa situada reforçant les alineacions urbanes. Aquesta
ordenació permet alliberar gran part del solar per al pati, situat entre vinyes
i obert cap al potent i atractiu paisatge de naturalesa agrícola que caracteritza
l’entorn.


El propi edifici exerceix com a límit en tota la relació amb
el carrer, de manera que s’evita col·locar tanques que delimitin el solar
respecte la vorera. Una franja enjardinada que esdevé una prolongació de
l’espai públic permet solucionar els desnivells amb talussos vegetals i
parterres que donen privacitat a l’escola respecte de la vorera.


School in La GranadaThe school faces the new Jacint Verdaguer street and Verge de Montserrat street,
establishing a clear point of access through the corner and leaning on the part of
the plot closer to the town’s centre. The
building is designed as a clear and compact volume, with the main part of the
program located oriented with the urban alignments in mind. This arrangement frees up a
large part of the plot for the playground, located between vineyards and open
to the powerful and attractive landscape that characterizes the


surroundings.


The building
itself defines the limit with the street, so it is not necessary to place
fences to enclose the playground from the sidewalk. A landscaped strip that
becomes an extension of the public space solves the unevenness with vegetal
slopes and flowerbeds that give privacy to the school.


Escuela en La Granada


La escuela se
dispone dando fachada a la nueva calle Jacint Verdaguer y a la calle Verge de
Montserrat, estableciendo un punto claro de acceso por la esquina y apoyándose
en la parte del solar más cercana al centro de La Granada.&#38;nbsp;


El edificio se
muestra como un volumen claro y compacto, con la parte principal del programa
ubicada reforzando las alineaciones urbanas. Esta ordenación permite liberar
gran parte del solar para el patio, situado entre viñedos y abierto hacia el
potente y atractivo paisaje de naturaleza agrícola que caracteriza el entorno.


El propio
edificio ejerce como límite en toda la relación con la calle, por lo que se
evita colocar vallas que delimiten el solar respecto la acera. Una franja ajardinada
que se convierte en prolongación del espacio público permite solucionar los
desniveles con taludes vegetales y parterres que dan privacidad a la escuela
respecto de la acera.

La finalització de la remodelació del Mercat de Sant
Antoni ha requerit una nova definició de l’espai públic al seu voltant, ampliant
substancialment l’espai per a la vida ciutadana i disminuint la circulació
rodada. La cruïlla Borrell-Tamarit es configura com una nova plaça, capaç
d’allotjar actes i trobades ciutadanes, mentre als carrers circumdants
s’allibera un espai longitudinal d’entre cinc i sis metres d’amplada destinat a
l’aparició d’espais amb vegetació i àrees d’estada.


Sant Antoni Superblock &#38;nbsp;

The end of Sant Antoni’s market refurbishment has required a new definition of its surrounding public spaces, substantially increasing the space for civic life and simultaneously reducing traffic impact. The Borrell-Tamarit street intersection it is redefined as a new square which is able to embrace acts and citizen meetings, meanwhile in the surrounding streets, a longitudinal space between five and six width meters is released to make appear vegetation and resting areas.
	

Superilla Sant Antoni


La finalización
de la remodelación del Mercado de Sant Antoni ha necesitado una nueva
definición del espacio público a su alrededor, ampliando sustancialmente el
espacio para la vida ciudadana y disminuyendo la circulación rodada. La
intersección Borrell-Tamarit se configura como una nueva plaza, capaz de acoger
actos y encuentros ciudadanos, mientras que las calles adyacentes liberan un
espacio longitudinal de entre cinco y seis metros de ancho, destinado a la aparición
de espacios de vegetación y descanso.

Habitatges a Rubí


La distribució es resol
sense patis interiors i ventilant de manera general l’estar i el dormitori
principal a la façana sud-oest i la cuina i l’altre dormitori a la passera
exterior. Un petit àmbit d’accés permet a cada habitatge personalitzar un espai
propi una mica reculat i definit per les gelosies de fusta. En el disseny de
les fusteries es preveu ubicar targes altes que haurien de
facilitar la bona disposició inicial dels habitatges per ventilar de manera
creuada.


Tots els habitatges
disposen d’una terrassa exterior que es troba parcialment endinsada per obtenir
una millor protecció enfront del vent i privacitat respecte els veïns. Complementàriament es disposen proteccions solars que funcionen com a
moduladors de la temperatura i com una bona mesura passiva per a l’estalvi
energètic i el confort dels usuaris. 


Housing in Rubí

Distribution is solved without interior patios and generally ventilating the main room and the principle bedroom to south-west facade and the kitchen and the other bedroom to the exterior corridor. A little access space allows each housing unit to personalize a set back space formed by wooden lattices. In the carpentry design, superior bands are located to ease the good initial dwellings dispositions to cross-ventilation.
All dwellings have an exterior terrace which is partially set back into facade to obtain a better protection against wind and to get some privacy&#38;nbsp;from&#38;nbsp;neighbors. Additionally, solar protections are located to control temperature and as a good passive&#38;nbsp;measure&#38;nbsp;to reduce energetic consumption and user&#38;nbsp;comfort.


Viviendas en Rubí


La distribución se resuelve sin patios interiores y ventilando de manera general la sala de estar y el dormitorio principal a la fachada sur-oeste y la cocina y el otro dormitorio a la pasarela exterior. Un pequeño ámbito de acceso permite a cada vivienda personalizar un espacio propio algo reculado y definido por las celosías de madera. En el diseño de las carpinterías se preveen franjas superiores que facilitarían la buena disposición inicial de las viviendas para su ventilación cruzada.
Todas las viviendas disponen de una terraza exterior que se encuentra parcialmente adentrada para obtener una mejor protección ante el viento y privacidad respecto los vecinos. Complementariamente, se disponen protecciones solares que funcionan como moduladores de la temperatura y como una buena medida pasiva para el ahorro energético y el confort de los usuarios.

	Hortes de Caldes


La proposta vol remarcar la pròpia topografia que
caracteritza el lloc. La morfologia de les Hortes respon a l’erosió creada pel
curs fluvial de la Riera de Caldes. La riera es troba uns vint metres per sota
de la cota del nucli urbà de manera que en el seu contacte amb la població
estableix una successió de plataformes o feixes de conreu utilitzades com a
horts particulars. El nou aparcament vol inserir-se en aquesta lògica de
plataformes i convertir-se en una terrassa més. Per això es planteja una
coberta enjardinada que continua, d’una manera més urbana i didàctica, amb unes
plantacions similars a les existents. S´ha volgut establir un
millor recorregut de connexió entre els nous espais enjardinats i la plaça de
l’Església, establint un itinerari que discorre paral·lel al límit de les hortes.


Gardens in Caldes
The
proposal highlights the

characteristic

 topography of the place. The morphology
of the vegetable gardens responds to the erosion created by the river course of the Caldes’
river. The torrent is located some twenty meters below city level, resulting in
a series of platforms and terraces used as private orchards, that serve as the connecting point to the city. The new parking lot means to insert itself in
this system of platforms and become another terrace. Therefore, a roof garden is
proposed on top of the parking lot, continuing the gardens in a more urban and didactive way, with similar
crops to the ones there before it. It was the aim to establish a better
connection path between the new garden and the Church square, establishing an
itinerary that runs parallel to the gardens’ limit.


Huertos de Caldes


La propuesta busca remarcar la propia topografía
que caracteriza el lugar. La morfología de las Huertas responde a la erosión
creada por el curso fluvial de la Riera de Caldes. La riera se encuentra unos
veinte metros por debajo de la cota del núcleo urbano de manera que en su
contacto con la población establece una sucesión de plataformas o franjas de
cultivo utilizadas como huertos particulares. El nuevo aparcamiento quiere
insertarse en esta lógica de plataformas y convertirse en una terraza más. Por
eso se plantea una cubierta ajardinada que continúa, de una manera más urbana y
didáctica, con unas plantaciones similares a las existentes. Se ha querido
establecer un mejor recorrido de conexión entre los nuevos espacios ajardinados
y la plaza de la Iglesia estableciendo un itinerario que discurre paralelo al
límite de las huertas.

Consolidació de La Remunta


El projecte contempla la consolidació estructural i
la restauració de l’envolupant (façanes i cobertes) de quatre edificis del
recinte de l’antiga caserna de La Remunta a L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, destinat
inicialment a la cria de cavalls per part de l’exèrcit. Actualment, la major
part d’aquest antic recinte s’ha convertit en parc públic.
L’encàrrec no comporta la posada en funcionament dels edificis, alguns dels
quals encara no tenen ús definit. Aquestes actuacions tenen la finalitat de que
no pateixin processos de degradació mentre se’n decideix el seu destí definitiu
i de fer-los compatibles amb la utilització del parc.


Renovation of La Remunta&#38;nbsp;


The
project contemplates the structural consolidation and restoration of the
envelope (façade and roofs) of four buildings from the old barracks of La
Remunta in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, originally destined to horse breeding by
the army. Nowadays, most parts of the old complex have become a public park.


The
commission doesn’t require a specific use of the buildings, and some of them don’t have
yet a defined future use. These operations have the goal of keeping it from
degrading while their future use is decided, and then making
them compatible with the use of the space as a park.


Consolidación de La Remunta


El proyecto
contempla la consolidación estructural y la restauración de la envolvente
(fachadas y cubiertas) de cuatro edificios del recinto de la antigua caserna de
La Remunta en L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, destinado inicialmente a la cría de
caballos por parte del ejército. Actualmente, la mayor parte de este antiguo recinto se ha convertido en parque público.


El encargo no
conlleva la puesta en funcionamiento de los edificios, algunos de los cuales
todavía no tienen un uso definido. Estas actuaciones tienen la finalidad de que
no sufran procesos de degradación mientras se decide su destino definitivo y de
hacerlos compatibles con el uso del parque.

	Mercat Dominical de Sant Antoni

Les obres de reforma del Mercat de Sant Antoni han
obligat a traslladar l’activitat comercial del Mercat Dominical. A fi
d’aixoplugar l’activitat dels comerciants es proposa cobrir l’àmbit central del
carrer Urgell, que es talla al trànsit rodat durant tots els diumenges de l’any
i manté intacte el seu paper circulatori durant la resta de dies de la setmana.
Es proposa un sostre lleuger, suportat per pilars ubicats a les voreres
laterals. Mentre l’estructura de suport és permanent, es plantegen unes cobertes
retràctils que poden replegar-se els dies feiners i els diumenges al matí per
donar una major cobertura al Mercat dominical. 


	Sunday market in Sant Antoni


The works on the refurbishment of Sant Antoni’s
Market forced the relocation of the Sunday Market. Meaning to shelter the
commercial activity, the proposal covers the central part of Urgell Street, that
becomes pedestrian every Sunday and remains its transit the rest part of the week. A
light roof is proposed, supported by columns placed on the lateral sidewalks.
While the support structure is permanent, a retractable roof is designed, that
could fall back on weekdays and Sunday mornings to cover more widely the Sunday
market.


Mercado Dominical de Sant Antoni


Las obras de reforma del Mercat de Sant Antoni han
obligado a trasladar la actividad comercial del Mercat Dominical. Con el fin de
resguardar la actividad de los comerciantes se propone cubir el ámbito central
de la Calle Urgell, que se corta al tránsito rodado durante todos los domingos
del año y mantiene intacto su papel circulatorio durante el resto de días de la
semana. Se propone una cubierta ligera, soportada por pilares ubicados en las aceras
laterales. Mientras la estructura de soporte es permanente, se plantean unas
cubiertas retráctiles que pueden recogerse los días laborales y los domingos
por la mañana para dar mayor cobertura al Mercado dominical.

Fàbrica Marfà


El projecte consisteix en la rehabilitació de
l’antiga fàbrica tèxtil Marfà com a centre cívic i biblioteca. El fort caràcter
de la nau determina el nivell d’intervenció del projecte. Es decideix
enderrocar totes les edificacions no originals per accentuar el volum
principal i dissenyar una nova extensió en planta baixa que organitzi l’espai
públic i l’entrada. A l’interior s’evita col·locar falsos sostres i
revestiments opacs per posar en relleu l’estructura original de la nau.


Marfà Factory


The project consists on the rehabilitation of the
former textile factory Marfà as a civic centre and library. The strong
character of the building determined the level of the intervention. It is
decided to demolish all the non-original buildings to accentuate the main
volume. A new extension on the ground-floor organizes the public space and the
entrance. In the interior, we avoided dropped ceilings and opaque coatings to highlight
the original structure.


Fábrica Marfà
El proyecto consiste en la
rehabilitación de la antigua fábrica textil Marfà como centro cívico y
biblioteca. El fuerte carácter de la nave determina el nivel de intervención
del proyecto. Se decide demoler todas las edificaciones no originales para acentuar
el volumen principal y diseñar una nueva extensión en planta baja que organice
el espacio público y la entrada. En el interior se evita colocar falsos techos
y revestimientos opacos para poner de relieve la estructura original de la
nave.
